About the hosts:
With Eriko’s caring, grounded nature and her precise alignment guidance, you will feel safe to explore your edge both physically and mentally. Eriko is known for her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and her safe and intuitive adjustments are one of a kind.
Eriko’s classes are dynamic and precise, with eastern flavour. Her teaching caters to a variety of practice modes, ranging from the more active held hatha and dynamic flow styles, to the slower, more restorative yin styles with focus coming to breathwork and meditation. She specializes in lower back pain management, focus/mindfullness, and anxiety reduction.
She grew up in Japan and US, moved to Australia, and she considers herself as a fusion of east and west and appreciates the best of both world with her blended perspective. Her upbringing has given Eriko the ability to relate to others. She is an ex-corporate turned to a Yoga teacher, bringing in the understanding of office work-related stress and pressures of the modern lifestyle.
Catarina is a Yoga teacher who has been practicing for over 14 years and teaching since 2008.
“I just happen to be on the right place, at the right time, with the most wonderful Yoguini teacher in my home country Brazil.
I never thought about spirituality, getting healthier, flexible, stronger, calmer, fixing life’s incidents and turmoils, finding something to pass time or any other reason that could attract one to engage into Yoga Practice. I had no reasons!!! Honestly, I had never heard of Yoga until that afternoon.
Since that precious day I found myself enrolling on a once, twice, three times a day Yoga session at this Ashram with the Yoguini teacher. I was introduced to mantras, rituals and a vigorous physical practice by her.
Within a year or so “Yoga took me over from my old life”. I gave up from my Business degree, my modelling career and eventually I left the Ashram and moved from Brazil to Australia.
When I am not practicing, teaching, or wondering in nature You will find me surfing, dancing, cooking or simple getting the “buzz vibe” from the city of Sydney or wherever I happen to be."
